So one of my roommates and good friend, just got broken up with; and she is heartbroken. Seeing someone who i am good friends with so heartbroken over someone who didn’t deserve or appreciate her the way she should have been broke my heart. So i made it my mission to make her smile and to stop crying. So the first thing we did was talk. We talked about her whole relationship from beginning to end to see if there was any red flags, or anything that could have been done differently. Next i helped her get rid of some of the anger she was feeling. What i did was i tossed pillows at her and she would punch or kick them back to me. This may seem silly but it is really effective. It’s just like hitting a punching bag. After i decided that I decided the best thing was to get her out of the apartment. So we got all dolled up and went to go get our nails done (which always personally makes me feel better), and then headed out to a local restaurant for some dinner. When we got back to the apartment we got comfy in our sweats and t-shirts and danced around to some really girl-empowered songs from the 90’s and the 2000’s! It may not have completely fixed her broken heart, but it sure helped!
