Christmas is 9 days away, and in typical fashion I haven’t started my Christmas Shopping. I know this a DIY blog, so I should probably be posting about the best DIY Christmas presents. Instead this post is going to be about the best deals in the mall. As a college student I’m always looking to save money, and Christmas time is not excluded.
I walked around Woodbridge Mall, and took pictures of all the amazing deals at some of my favorite stores, I’ll also be talking about online deals as well. The stores that I went to were stores that fellow college students shop at. Lets start.
On a normal day American Eagle has amazing deals, so I wasn’t shocked when I saw that the promo that they were running was by one get on 50% off of basically the entire store. The Sale section of the store was filled with cute sweaters, winter accessories, belts, socks, jeans, and joggers. Everything on sale was an extra 40% off (what a steal!!!)
Online they are holding a promo where you get 40% off the holiday collection and free shipping when you use promo code: HOLIDAZE
Bath & Body Works
This is one of my favorite stores to go to in the mall. As per usual it was super crowded making it hard to move around to take a really good look at the deals going on. The one deal that really stood out to me was they were offering these huge 3-wick candles all different holiday flavors for just 8 dollars! They also had a deal on their signature holiday soaps and lotions where when you buy 3 you get 3 free.
Online they have similar deals, but you can get 4 Christmas hand soaps for $18, or 6 for $24.
EXPRESS is having a sale on the entire store. You can get 40% off anything in the store! This may be one of the best deals EXPRESS has had in a long time, making their clothes actually affordable for a college student. Since the whole store is on sale, their actual sale section was lacking.
Online EXPRESS has different deals than in-stores. All sweaters start off at $24.99, and you get a discount of 20% when you spend $50, 30% when you spend $100, and 40% when you spend $200. In order to receive this discount use promo code: 1159
Personally I think Forever 21 always has the best deals, for both men and women. All outerwear was 30% off, sale items were BOGO free, shoes were starting at $20, leggings in an assortment of color was on sale for $3.90, and sweaters, and tops, were starting at just $4!
Online the store is having a sale where all outerwear, sweaters, and winter accessories are 30% off. Also they are offering free shipping using promo code: HOLIDAY14
In stores Gap was having a 40% off sale on the entire store including sale items. The lines at the registers were ridiculously long, and store associates were trying their hardest to replenish the denim wall, sweater racks while helping customers at the same time.
If you want to avoid all the hustle and bustle of the store, they are have pretty good deals online. Gap is offering customers who use the promo code (GIFT) 30% when you buy two items, 40% when you buy three items, and 50% when you buy four items or more.
I’ve only shopped at Garage one time, so I am not positive about the normal deals or promos they run, but when I went in the store was empty, and it didn’t seem like any good deals were going on to me. They were offering 30% off of their jeans which sell for $44.95, and BOGO 50% off on their leggings. The one thing I did find interesting was that with every 75 dollars you spend you get a 25 dollar cash card.
If you do shop at Garage I suggest shopping Online because they have much better deals: gifts starting at $5, 30% off all orders, free shipping, and sweaters starting at $20.
For me H&M is a place where I hardly ever step foot in because i can NEVER find anything, even when i’m not looking for anything in particular. They had a sale on basic tees, shirts and leggings which you could mix and match for 2 for $10, blazers starting at $20, all the accessories where on sale, and the majority of their pants and joggers are on sale for just 10 dollars.
A lot of people aren’t aware that H&M recently launched their website where you can actually shop online. For a long time you weren’t able to shop, you could just view look books, and get contact information about its stores. None the less you should still stick to shopping in stores, if you are looking for all the deals. The only deal that is offered online is free shipping with code:2907
I hope my short mall guide of seven stores helps you, with your last minute Christmas buying, and whether or not to deal with actual crowds at malls, or just order online and deal with shipping and handling. Happy shopping & may the odds be forever in your favor!
Until Next Time!
